So as of late I have been into nail polishes. I like to have one of every color or at least that is my goal. Which I know is insane. But since I have a girl I feel like it's ok because she will want to have her nails painted as well! BUT holy cow have you seen how expensive some nail polishes are?! Really? $8.50 for ONE nail polish! It's crazy insane. So when I find something that is cheap and works really good I have to let you guys know! I have been hearing really great things about the Wet-N-Wild new nail polishes. So the other day I decided I was going to try them out! I was super surprised when I saw that they were only $1.99! I was like "Ummm Ok I'm going to buy 5 then"! They had quite a few to choose from. These are the ones I got.
I was super excited to try these suckers out! I was VERY impressed that I only had to do two coats and I was done! It dried fairly quickly and the color was amazing! So basically I think everyone should try these new nail polishes out! They are cheap and they are beautiful!
This is our chicken coop! We are super excited to get our chickens in a coupe of days! When we get them I will be videoing that as well! This is our family cleaning it all out! Plus you guys get to see where our chickens are gonna live!
Let me just start this blog out by saying "No I am not pregnant". This is my little secret to make my hair grow faster! I know it sounds a little crazy at first, but really it's just vitamins! I have been trying to grow out my hair for about a year and a half now. I would love to have really long hair! (it's getting there) So I just keep getting it trimmed every 6 weeks or so. But what really made a difference was when I started the vitamins. I heard from a couple of people that prenatals help your hair and nails to grow faster. So I thought I would try it! (couldn't hurt right?) I think it really makes a difference in my hair health and growth. Of course you don't have to take prenatal vitamins to have your hair grow faster, you can just get a multi-vitamin. But whatever you choose make sure to look for vitamin B. That is the vitamin that helps with hair growth. Also look for one that has Folic Acid in it. That is why I think prenatals are good for the hair cause it makes sure to have lots of folic acid in it!
Remember vitamins help with your hair growth and health, but you have to make sure to get your hair trimmed every 6 weeks. This keeps your hair very healthy and strong! You want to get all those dead ends cut off! Make sure you use a good heat protector when using any heat products on your hair.
Hey guys! So my mom and I had our adventure out to the mall today to get our eyebrows threaded! I was very excited/nervous about it! I was telling people on facebook about it and not a lot of people knew what it was. So I decided we were gonna film it! So if you were wondering what it is here you go! We also did some shopping too :)
Hey guys! So I did a tutorial on my "Easter Hair" blog. Now you guys can see exactly everything I use and how to use the curling wand. I got asked on YouTube to do this tutorial so I hope you guys enjoy as well! :)
And yes you will be able to see what my hair looks like after I blow dry it! So cute... not. Enjoy!
Lately I have been trying to be as organic as I possibly can, like ordering chickens, buying organics and now a GARDEN. I knew this was something we were going to do as a family. I just didn't even know where to start honestly! When I was younger we always had a garden. But I never remember starting it. All I remember is weeding (which is a chore I hated). But I always loved the fresh tomatoes and cucumbers. So for Easter my mom got the kids all the things we would need to start a garden! I was amazed at how easy it actually is! We got two pans that had little Peat Pellets (which is little circles of dirt). All you do is pour 5 1/2 cups of warm water into the pan and then all the dirt puffs up. We then just put the different seeds in each dirt pellet. Austin was so excited when we did this! He poured all the water into the pan! I thought this was such a fun experience for him! He was so into it.
We then put them downstairs in Ethan's "office" and put them into direct sunlight! The directions said to keep the cover on until they sprout then you can halfway open them.
This is what is looks like when the covers are off.
We also got these little things called "Hot House". Which I thought was super cool! It comes with a little packet of seeds and two packets of dirt. All we had to do is pour the dirt in the bottom and put 2/3 cup of water in it, then the seeds! This was super easy and really fun! Vays even joined in on this one too! We put this one in the window right above our sink so we can see it everyday! The plants in the pink and yellow containers are Strawberries and Daisies. We have a little garden in our window!
Now the hard thing for me is to remember to water the plants! I am a very forgetful person and so I think that putting some of the plants in my plain sight everyday will help me remember to water them when they look dry. I will then remember that I have plants downstairs as well! We are very excited for our garden! If anyone has great garden tips for me I would LOVE to hear them! Thanks for reading!!
Also if you guys have a YouTube account you can subscribe to my channel if you want to. I will be doing more videos on there as well. Like a what a normal day looks like for me, some makeup stuff, hair and other things. But don't worry I will still have my blog! :)
Hey everyone! So I am not gonna lie but I am so excited for Easter weekend! My awesome weekend started out with me and my friends Danae and Casey going out for dinner, drinks and the Hunger Games. I will admit I LOVED the book. The movie was not as good as the book though. But I feel like that is the case for most movies that are based off a book. That is all I am going to say because some people haven't seen it yet.
I am very excited because tomorrow (sometime considering it's 1am right now) we are going to my parents to clean out the chicken coop. I know cool right? The chickens are coming in about a week and a half! EEK! I will be videoing our journey with the chickens. If you guys have tips or any questions about it let me know.
Sunday is Easter. I love Easter. I love the tradition of Easter egg hunts, dying eggs, going to church, celebrating Jesus rising from the dead. It's all fun to me. We are planning on doing an Easter egg hunt at the Hubs family on Sunday. My family will be joining as well. I can't wait for the kids to open their baskets and find all the eggs we will be hiding! I hope everyone has a fun and safe Easter!!
Also I will be having a "surprise" guest write one post a month on my blog. They will be writing about cooking healthy food. So I am very excited about this! You guys will enjoy it. Let me know if you guys like the videos as well.
Hey guys! So to follow up with my last blog about working out I am going to do my nutrition on a normal day. I found out that when your looking to lose weight, 20% is working out (not a lot at all), 20% is sleep and 60% (what!!) is what you eat. So eating is the most important step in trying to lose weight! I know, even I think "Oh I worked out today I can eat whatever I want"! Well not totally true. I believe you can eat what you want in moderation. I am not totally strict on my diet either. I don't want people to think I am perfect and that I eat all healthy foods! Completely not true. I love to have pizza and buffalo wings and such. But that happens probably once a month for me. I try to eat 80% healthy and 20% not as healthy. So here is what I eat on a "normal" day!
*Warning I am a total snacker. I don't eat a lot of big meals during the day. I just munch*
I always start my morning off with a coffee.
I used to ALWAYS use a creamer in my coffee. But the day that I looked at how many calories and fat is in creamer I quit. I started just doing Half & Half and Truvia sugar. I also added a little bit of caramel in my coffee too.
After I have my coffee I eat my yogurt and granola. Which you have all heard me talk about a million times.
For lunch I normally have some toast and jelly or string cheese and a English Muffin or a sandwich. I am a total girl of habit. I don't like to change what I eat if I know that it's working. So I do have a lot of the same things everyday. A lot of people don't like to have the same things day in and day out. So this might not work for you.
This is something that I actually change everyday. Sometimes we will go out, but most times we eat dinner at home. I like to have a protein and a veggie. I eat a lot of salads. I am IN love with them. I eat one a day at least! Last night this is what we had.
When we eat out I really only like to go to two places. Either Panera or Chipotle. I know a lot of you are thinking WHAT Chipotle? But if you ever look at their menu they have all grass fed meats and locally grown veggies, and the best cheeses! Panera is also one of my favorites because of all the fresh food!
I do also have a dessert most nights. Such as Organic ice cream or some brownies.
Hey guys! Ok so I decided to do something different for this post! I did a video! This is my month of March favorites! Stuff that I use everyday and am obsessed with! I hope you guys enjoy this! I would love feedback! Thanks guys!!
