Day In My Life! ~Gymnastics,Preschool & New Car?!~

Hey guys! So I know two posts in two days?! I'm on a roll!! Lol! But we had so many exciting things happen yesterday and I got to vlog it all!! 

 First Austin had his first real day of Preschool! He had so much fun and loved every minute of it!

Second we got a new car! We have been talking for awhile about buying a car for me instead of the Acadia! To save money in pretty much every aspect! So Ethan yesterday spent the day working and finding us the perfect car! We decided on the Toyota Camry! It's a black '09 and I am in love! 

Third Nevaeh started gymnastics! She got a new leotard this weekend and would NOT let us take it off of her! She had SO much fun! I can't wait for her to do more!

First Panic Attack?!

I am not much for being a deep thinker. I am pretty much a you get what you get kind of girl. Everyone knows what I'm thinking I wear my emotions on my sleeves for the most part...  

Saturday I got to hangout with my parents and go car shopping with them! They were able to negotiate a good deal. Well my Dad did anyways. My mom and I get really uncomfortable once they start talking hard numbers. My Dad is a natural born salesman. He can talk anyone into getting what he wants for the deal. My mom and I on the other hand don't even like to watch. So while we sat in the waiting room my Dad got a new car. They ended up getting the new Camry Hybrid. 41 miles to the gallon!  What?!

Anyways, after we got done we all decided to go out for dinner. My mom and I weren't hungry so we went to The Buckle while my Dad and Ethan went to a Burger place. (We of course got a babysitter for the night, we are very lucky we have a babysitter that we trust very much!) Well we all decided after we ate and shopped that we should go to the new Batman movie! I am all for Christian Bale! I am a huge fan of his! (Newsies=Love) Anyways so we went to Batman! There wasn't very many people in the theatre that night cause it has been out for awhile and I feel like a lot of people have seen it by now! 

I was sitting there enjoying the movie, it was so great and I was so into it! Well all of a sudden fear completely came over me.. I don't know what triggered it, but I thought of all those people in Colorado on the premiere night of this EXACT same movie. They were all sitting there watching the movie suspecting nothing was going to happen. Just enjoying a movie that everyone was so pumped up and excited about. I completely had a mini panic attack. My heart was racing, I could barley breathe, I just had to get up and make my way to the restroom so I could think and pray for peace. I finally made my way back to the movie and sat on the end of the isle for a bit so I could scope out the crowd. (I'm a creep like that). I finally got up and sat back down in my seat. For awhile it took me awhile to finally focus back on the movie but once I did I finally calmed down. 

I wanted to share that just because I just want everyone to think and be thankful that they are alive and well. Be thankful that you get to breathe and have life. Focus on things that matter. Be happy and make the best out of your life!

My fav highlight is MAC extra dimension in Superb! So BEAUTIFUL

T-ball, Rock Revival Jeans, Mall & Workout!

Hey guys! So we had a fun filled Thursday & Friday! We went to Austin's first T-Ball and he had a blast and he totally loved it! I went and worked out at the Y with Nevaeh while Austin had a sleepover with Nana Kathleen! Friday we went to the mall and got our gifts for the giveaway winners! Nevaeh also was super lucky to get a Build A Bear! We had a blast and I hope you guys enjoy!!

Nevaeh's New Room! Redecorated!

So about a month ago I got the itch to redecorate Nevaeh's room! I was looking for ideas on Pinterest like a CRAZY woman. I knew I wanted her room to be a dark purple with white accents. I have also seen a lot of those wall stickers that I really liked! I loved the branch ones that were white! So I googled my little heart out and finally found a website http://www.7decals.com/Default.asp  that wasn't too expensive. I could not believe some of the prices! Like $100+ for a wall decal! What?! But I bought the tree for about 40 some dollars. I also got to choose the color I wanted and what side of the wall I wanted the branch coming from!  But first we had to find the right paint color! Purple!

Considering the colors that her room was before, we had to do like three coats of paint. Ethan did one whole coat, then just half a coat on the top part, then one whole coat again. It was a little work but we did it! I also told Eth that I wanted all her trim to be white! Which let me tell you was a pain in the butt! But he took all the trim off the walls and then we painted it down stairs with a little brush! But it took probably about 3 coats! grr. But it was worth it! 

Next was the sticker application! Ufta that was hard and scary! I am always nervous when doing those that it's gonna bubble up or not stick well. But the sticker we got did amazing!

This was so time consuming! I'm glad Rachel was over to help because we had to do all those little green hearts separately! So it took a long time! But it turned out so perfectly! I couldn't be more happy!

After we got all the trim done we needed to finish the rest. I knew I didn't want her to be in her crib anymore. So Ethan sprayed painted the toddler bed white so it could match her room! Also Rachel suggested that we paint Nevaeh's letters on her wall green to match the birds & hearts! We did and it was so perfect! So her room is all purple with white & green accents! We also sold her dresser and bought a new white one! I'm so proud of how beautiful her room came out! 

So my next decorating job will be Austin's room! Stayed tuned!!

My Aunt, Zoo and a Half Marathon!

We had quite and eventful weekend! My Aunt Bobbie came into town on Thursday! We haven't seen her in awhile! It's always great to have her around! My Aunt, sister and her family and I all got to go to Como Zoo on friday! We all had a blast! My Mom and Aunt also ran the half marathon on Sunday! (13.1 freakin miles) I know they are awesome and finished the whole thing! So I recorded some of our weekend! I hope you guys enjoyed!!

6 Years! Wait What?!

It's very crazy to me to think that Ethan and I have been married for 6 years already. I literally remember the year before we got married and I thought "GOSH my wedding is NEVER going to get here"! And then BAM we were married, went on our honeymoon, and poof six years later we have two kids and two dogs!

Our story. For those of you who don't know Ethan or I, our story is quite simple. We met during church. I was six and he was about nine years old. We basically grew up together. We saw each other every Sunday. Our families were actually quite close as well! I have always had a crush on Ethan ever since we met (like every other girl in church). But nothing really came about until I was in high school and he started college. I was in 10th grade and he started coming over to our house like every weekend! I was excited about this but didn't want to make it a big deal and get my hopes up. I remember one day my best friend Rachel saying "I think Ethan likes Cort"! I was super surprised by this comment but also excited. Well that was short lived cause my two other friends in the room were like "NO way". Literally about two weeks later we started dating! 

After I graduated in '05 my parents and Ethan and I went to Florida for a graduation getaway! That is when he asked me to marry him. I was excited because that is what I always wanted. To be married young. I don't know why. I mean it's not for everyone. Not a lot of people or my friends understood why I wanted to be married young (18). I just simply said "I know he is the one I want to be with for the rest of my life, why should I wait"? So that next year about a month before I turned 19 we got married. May 26th, 2006. I am so glad we did. Don't get me wrong, I don't think marriage is a walk in the park. I would never want anyone to think that it is. It's something you have to work at everyday sometimes multiple times in a day. But it's worth it. I am thankful that I got to marry one of my best friends.
